My very very wonderful friend Dale is amazing in so many ways…from scripting, building, photography, teaching, mentoring, writing, brilliant thinking, terraforming to his incredibly open, caring, generous, beautiful heart and soul.  I would need to write more than several posts to even try to describe all of how wonderful Dale is as a person and to everyone [...]

Little did I realize that another fascinating build at Burning Life was created by another Oh…Selavy Oh, to be precise, who brings us “The Irregularity.”
This is an immense, fascinating build that you just have to see.  It is at once utterly minimalistic and profoundly complex.  Beyond the fascinating juxtaposition between the “simple” and the complicated, [...]

I’ve been on this frantic tour of Burning Life this past week and weekend thinking that it was closing today (but perhaps that’s just the events and not the builds?).  My very favorite moments have been with very wonderful friend Dale, who has gorgeous captures taken within seconds (!!!) and fun weblog entries chronicling this year’s Burning [...]

A recent NPIRL post used very little in the way of words to describe “Rising in Light” by Truthseeker Young, Deebrane String, and Miso Susanowa.
Once you go there to check it out, you’ll appreciate why.  It’s mesmerizing.  It’s amazing.  It’s engaging.   And the station is fully aware, floating in the heavens above the planets.

The scale and complexity of this futuristic being are [...]

I just came across the “Doll Face” short film (from a posting in Facebook), which I understand went viral on YouTube in 2008.  I hadn’t seen Andrew Huang’s work before.   ”Doll Face” is a powerfully compelling and hauntingly thought-provoking exploration of virtual identity well worth revisiting or seeing for the first time.
The short film plays with the [...]

Astra Thorne, AM Radio (whose latest build is Sometimes They Rise), and Autos…but really so much more.
The generosity of people is a wonderful thing, as is serendipity.  Last night out of nowhere, several residents received a conference notification that AM Radio was giving away (last night only) his new roadster.  The vehicle in this picture isn’t the roadster…I didn’t [...]

This breathtaking woman has left me speechless.  Thank you, Dale, for your wonderful weblog entry on Rezzable’s amazing and gorgeous Odalisque.  (Black Swan sim.  209.111.2006)
She is, indeed so truly indeed, gorgeous.

AM Radio’s latest build — Sometimes They Rise – reveals itself with trademark quietness, compelling visitors to not only enter but to also create a visual story.

A Time Traveller rises in the Forest of “Sometimes They Rise”

The build is simple and lovely.  It harkons to the nearness of autumn, one of my favorite seasons (along with spring).  And yet, the [...]

The other day, very wonderful good friend Dale and I visited a fantastic interactive (or perhaps immersive is a better word) art installation in SL called Art Box.  I wish I could remember the names of the creators.  They happened to be there when we were there, and they were as friendly and as engaging as [...]

One of the things I love about SL is the art and the immense creativity inworld.  So many times, I hadn’t the opportunity to see art installations that were on display for a limited period of time.  Gazira Babeli’s “Hammering the Void” is the most recent build that I missed, and I truly regret missing it.  Because in searching for [...]
